MIAMI HEAT

Joel Anthony

Joel Vincent Anthony (born August 9, 1982, in Montreal, Quebec) is a Canadian professional basketball player in the NBA who is currently a member of the Miami Heat.
Anthony, nicknamed "The Warden", attended prestigious Selwyn House School in Montreal from 1994 to 1997. He graduated from Emmanuel Christian School, class of '99. After Emmanuel, he attended Dawson College, where he was cut from the preliminary basketball squad.
By the time he graduated from Florida's Pensacola Junior College in 2004, however, he had come into his own on the court. He made the first team all-conference for 2003–04, averaging 9 points, 7 rebounds and 3.5 blocks per game.
At the University of Nevada, Las Vegas he made a name for himself, helping lead the Runnin' Rebels to a 30–7 season his senior year, being named Mountain West Conference defensive player of the year and finishing second in the NCAA in shot-blocking.
Anthony made his Canadian national men's basketball team debut in the summer of 2008. He made a tremendous impact on the court for the Canadians, by setting both scoring and block shot records for an individual game. Canada however failed to qualify for the Beijing Olympics.
On July 16, 2010, Joel Anthony re-signed with the Miami Heat on a five-year deal.[1]

Chris Bosh

Christopher Wesson Bosh (born March 24, 1984) is an American professional basketball player who plays power forward for the Miami Heat in the National Basketball Association (NBA).
A high school "Mr. Basketball" in Texas, Bosh left college at Georgia Tech after one season to enter the 2003 NBA Draft. He was selected fourth overall by the Toronto Raptors in a very competitive draft class. While at Toronto, Bosh emerged as one of the young stars in the league; he became a five-time NBA All-Star, was named to the All-NBA second team once, appeared for the US national team (with whom he won a gold medal at the 2008 Olympics), and took over former fan-favorite Vince Carter as the face and leader of the Raptors franchise. In the 2006–07 season, Bosh led the Raptors to their first NBA Playoffs berth in five years, and their first ever division title. He left Toronto as its all-time leader in points, rebounds, blocks, double doubles, free throws made and attempted, and minutes played.
Bosh was nicknamed "CB4" by Toronto Raptors play-by-play commentator Chuck Swirsky, a combination of Bosh's initials and then jersey number.[1] Seeking to promote sports and education amongst youths in Dallas and Toronto, Bosh set up the Chris Bosh Foundation and regularly speaks to youths about the benefits of reading.

Juwan Howard

Juwan Antonio Howard (born February 7, 1973) is an American professional basketball player for the Miami Heat of the National Basketball Association (NBA). As of the 2010-2011 season, Howard is a reserve for the Miami Heat. The Heat is his eighth different NBA team. He was drafted fifth overall in the 1994 NBA Draft by the Washington Bullets. A former All-Star and All-NBA power forward, he also starred as an All-American on the Michigan Wolverines men's basketball team during the Fab Five years and, earlier, on the Chicago Vocational Career Academy team as a center. In addition to being an All-American in high school, he was an honors student.
Howard was a member of the Fab Five (along with Chris Webber, Jalen Rose, Jimmy King and Ray Jackson) that reached the finals of the 1992 and 1993 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Men's Division I Basketball Championship as freshmen and sophomores while starting a combined 304 of a possible 350 games. Howard is the last member of the Fab Five who remains active as a professional basketball player. Most Michigan Wolverines men's basketball records and accomplishments from 1992 to 1998 have been forfeited because of NCAA sanctions stemming from the University of Michigan basketball scandal. However, Howard's 1993–94 All-American season accomplishment has not been.[1]
He played six and a half seasons for the Bullets/Wizard franchise and three full seasons for the Houston Rockets. He has not played more than two seasons for any other teams. During his rookie year as a professional, he became the first player to graduate on time with his class after leaving college early to play in the NBA. After one season as an All-Rookie player and a second as an All-NBA performer, he became the first NBA player to sign a $100 million contract. Although he continued to be a productive starter, he never again performed at an All-Star level. Near the end of his contract, he was traded at the NBA trade deadline twice to make salary cap room. In 2010, he is entering his 17th NBA season, including five during which his team reached the playoffs. During his first 5 seasons in the NBA, he averaged 19.3 points per game, but has only averaged 17 points in three of his seasons since. The 2005–06 NBA season was the most recent in which he was a starter in more than half of the games in which he played and averaged more than 30 minutes per game. Howard has developed a reputation as a humanitarian for his civic commitment.

LeBron James

LeBron Raymone James (pronounced /ləˈbrɒn/; born December 30, 1984) is an American professional basketball player for the Miami Heat of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Nicknamed "King James", he was a three-time "Mr. Basketball" of Ohio in high school, and was highly promoted in the national media as a future NBA superstar while a sophomore at St. Vincent – St. Mary High School. He was selected with the number one pick in the 2003 NBA Draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers and signed a shoe contract with Nike before his professional debut. Listed as a small forward, James has set numerous youngest player records since joining the league. He was named the NBA Rookie of the Year in 2003–04, NBA Most Valuable Player in 2008–09 and 2009–10, and has been both All-NBA selection and an All-Star every season since 2005. In 2010, a much-publicized free agency process ended with James signing with the Miami Heat. He became the third reigning NBA MVP to change teams and the first since Moses Malone in 1982.[1]
The focal point of the Cleveland offense, James led the team to consecutive playoff appearances from 2006 through 2010. In 2007, the Cavaliers advanced to the Conference Finals for the first time since 1992 and to the NBA Finals for the first time in franchise history. James has been a member of the USA national team, winning a bronze medal at the 2004 Olympics and gold at the 2008 Olympics.

James Jones

James Andrew Jones (born October 4, 1980 in Miami, Florida) is an American professional basketball player who is currently with the Miami Heat.
The 6'8" (203cm), 215 lb (98 kg) small forward who attended American Senior High in Miami was picked 49th by the Indiana Pacers in the 2003 NBA Draft out of the University of Miami.[1] After playing in only 26 total minutes[2] over six games during his rookie campaign, he played almost a full season during 2004–05, averaging 4.9 points per game while also ranking 25th in the NBA in three-point conversion percentage (39.8%).[2]
Jones was traded by the Pacers to the Phoenix Suns on August 25, 2005, in exchange for a 2008 second-round draft pick.[2]
In June 2007, Jones was traded to the Portland Trail Blazers along with the draft rights to Rudy Fernandez, the 24th pick in the 2007 NBA Draft, in exchange for cash considerations.[3]
During the 2007 season, Jones stayed near the top of the rankings in three-point shooting percentage, finishing third in the league, with a shooting percentage of 44.4%.[4] Despite his good shooting for the year, Jones was not selected to participate in the Three-point Shootout contest during the 2008 NBA All-Star Game, much to the chagrin of Trail Blazers fans.[5]
On June 26, 2008, Jones used his player option to opt-out of his contract with the Trail Blazers, making him a free agent for the off season.[6] On July 9, 2008, Jones signed a contract with the Miami Heat. He earned $4 million in his first year of a potential five-year contract, worth up to $23.2 million. The first two years were guaranteed, while the final three were options held by both the Miami Heat and Jones.
On June 29, 2010, he was released to clear salary cap space worth $400,000. On July 19, 2010, Jones was re-signed by the Miami Heat for the league minimum.[7]
On February 19, 2011, Jones won the NBA Three-Point Shootout in Los Angeles at the Staples Center.
